Indented Head is a neat little town where the locals know they’re on a good thing. Maybe it’s the view of the BIG SMOKE behind the OZONE paddlesteamer (a plush, pleasure boat for thousands of Melburnians in the late 1800s) that puts the city life in perspective.
The good thing about a place like this is the locals make time to notice the little things, especially when it’s related to important stuff like being able to wade in clean water, or launch your boat without running aground on a new sand bar.
At the beach, I found Clean Up Australia Day in full swing with Beachlea Boat Hire playing a lead role. But there wasn’t much litter.
