Every January the Coast Action Coast Care Summer Activities program provides a fantastic range of coastal and marine experiences across Victoria. This is a great opportunity for local communities to meet up with local environmental champions, see how the wild things live, and learn how to help protect their habitats.
Baykeeper was pleased to have a hand in a ‘Coxy’s Big Break’ segment which will be screened this Sunday (December 5) on Channel 7 at 5.30pm to promote the Summer Activities program.
Congratulations to the Coast Action Coast Care crew and the hundreds of activity providers for making it all happen. A truly impressive array of activities has been scheduled right across the state.
Baykeeper will be providing guided walks in St Kilda and inviting people families to join in shoreline shell surveys around the Bay.
This will be the third consecutive year of shell surveys which have been a fascinating journey of discovery. If you’d like to learn more about the surveys and other Baykeeper adventures over the past two years, you’re welcome to come along to the Port Phillip EcoCentre at 3.30pm this Sunday.
